Privacy Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how BrandMap, powered by My Creator Handbook, collects, uses and handles information when customers visit BrandMap, purchase editing services, submit a Vlog Brief, communicate through an order portal, leave a review or otherwise use BrandMap.

1. Information we may collect

Depending on how a person uses BrandMap, we may collect:

  • Contact information, such as name and email address.
  • Order information, including products purchased, add-ons, amount paid, order status and BrandMap order number.
  • Creative brief information, including vlog type, style/vibe preferences, desired length, editing instructions, music preferences, text/font preferences, reference links and other information voluntarily supplied by the customer.
  • Customer-provided content and links, including links to footage, music, fonts, graphics and other files necessary to perform the service.
  • Communications, including messages exchanged through BrandMap's customer-order system.
  • Reviews and feedback, including ratings, written feedback and the customer's selected public-display preference.
  • Technical information, which may include IP address, browser/device information, logs and similar information generated when using the website.
  • Payment-related information. Payments are processed by Stripe. BrandMap may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, customer email and related payment/order information, but BrandMap does not receive or store complete payment-card credentials.

2. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • provide purchased editing services;
  • process and manage orders;
  • communicate with customers;
  • collect and process Vlog Briefs;
  • access customer-provided materials;
  • deliver edits and revisions;
  • provide customer support;
  • send transactional emails and order-status notifications;
  • maintain order history;
  • prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access;
  • troubleshoot and improve BrandMap;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • display customer reviews where the customer has explicitly permitted public display.

3. Customer footage and creative materials

Customer footage and other creative materials are accessed and used as reasonably necessary to perform the purchased service.

BrandMap does not automatically obtain permission to use customer footage or finished work publicly for advertising or portfolio purposes merely because a customer purchased a service.

Separate permission will be obtained before public promotional use unless another written agreement provides otherwise.

4. Service providers

BrandMap may use third-party service providers to operate the service.

These may include providers for:

  • payment processing;
  • website/application hosting;
  • database and infrastructure services;
  • transactional email;
  • authentication;
  • analytics or security where enabled;
  • customer-selected cloud storage/file-transfer services.

These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services.

5. Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe.

Stripe receives payment information according to its own privacy practices.

BrandMap does not store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes.

6. My Creator Handbook

BrandMap is powered by My Creator Handbook.

BrandMap and My Creator Handbook may share information internally as reasonably necessary to operate BrandMap, administer orders, provide support, maintain business records and comply with legal obligations.

7. Email

BrandMap uses the customer's email address to send transactional communications relating to purchases, Vlog Briefs, messages, status updates, delivery and other service-related matters.

Transactional communications are necessary to operate active orders.

Marketing emails, if introduced in the future, should be handled separately and with any consent required by applicable law.

8. Reviews

Customers may choose whether a submitted review can be publicly displayed with their first name, anonymously, or kept private.

BrandMap will use the selected permission when determining whether and how to display the review.

9. Tips

If a customer chooses to leave a tip, the payment is processed through the applicable payment provider and associated with the relevant BrandMap transaction/order as needed for recordkeeping.

10. Data retention

BrandMap may retain order records, communications, briefs and related business information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.

Customer-provided creative files may be deleted when they are no longer reasonably needed for the service.

Customers should maintain their own backups.

11. Security

BrandMap uses reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information.

No online service can guarantee absolute security, and customers should use appropriate care when sharing private links or materials.

Private BrandMap order links should be treated as confidential because they may provide access to order information, messages, creative briefs and delivery information.

12. Information sharing

BrandMap does not sell customer personal information.

BrandMap may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the service through service providers and infrastructure providers;
  • process payments;
  • send transactional communications;
  • comply with applicable law, legal process or valid governmental requests;
  • investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents or violations of BrandMap's Terms;
  • protect the rights, property or safety of BrandMap, My Creator Handbook, customers or others;
  • complete a legitimate business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law.

13. California privacy information

BrandMap is operated in California and provides this policy to explain its online information practices.

California residents may contact BrandMap regarding questions about personal information associated with their use of the service.

Where applicable law provides a particular privacy right, BrandMap will respond to valid requests as required by that law.

14. Children

BrandMap is not intended for children under 13, and BrandMap does not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children under 13.

If BrandMap learns that information from a child under 13 was collected in circumstances requiring deletion, BrandMap may take appropriate steps to delete it.

15. Third-party links

BrandMap may contain links to third-party services, including customer-provided cloud-storage links, social platforms, payment services and other websites.

BrandMap is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third-party websites and services.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

BrandMap may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When the policy is updated, the effective date displayed on this page will be revised.

Where required by law, additional notice or consent will be provided.
